a2z Physical Therapy was started with one main goal: provide quality physical therapy in the comfort of patients’ homes after they have gone through a trauma such as a car accident. This goal is the driving force behind every step of the company, from the clinicians in the field doing the treatments to the management and marketing team.
We understand that this is a difficult time for our patients, so not only do we want to help them recover from their physical ailments, but we also want to help them with understanding the steps that come along with managing a personal injury. We do not offer the typical treatments that you find from most providers after getting into a car accident. Our patients will each receive one-on-one care directly from a physical therapist during their entire treatment, and manual (hands-on) treatment is performed at each visit.
We make sure the patient receives the skilled care they need, and deserve, based on the specific injury and deficit reported by the patient directly. This approach to operating a2z Physical Therapy allows us to be patient-focused and driven and gives us the opportunity to provide the best care for you when you need it most.
ADAM ZIM
Adam has always been active in sports and exercise, from playing tennis throughout most of his life to now being an avid runner and training for marathons. His love for staying active and living a healthy lifestyle helped drive him into the career of physical therapy. Adam has been working in physical therapy for 14 years, with his first 8 years being in an outpatient clinic treating a variety of patients such as car accident victims, neurological deficits, sports rehab, vestibular, multi-surgical and joint replacements. In this outpatient setting, Adam harnessed his manual skills of how to work hands-on with a patient to help improve their daily function through various techniques such as massage and stretching. He has also taken numerous continuing education courses for different body parts and injuries, including a specialty in headaches and myofascial release. Adam transitioned from an outpatient setting to home healthcare and has spent the last 6 years being proud to say that he is able to bring his outpatient experience to his patients’ homes. He believes that just because a patient is unable to make it to an outpatient clinic setting, that does not mean they should not be able to receive a similar treatment. Therefore, the patients at a2z Physical Therapy will not only receive one on one care in the comfort of their home, but will always receive manual, hands-on work which is a key factor in the recovery process.
When Adam is not working, he enjoys spending time with his kids and watching their afterschool activities. He also enjoys going on hikes with his family on the weekends and loves watching his kids help his wife with baking, especially because he knows the results in the end…delicious food.
MELISSA ZIM
Melissa grew up with strong male role models that propelled her into the golf world where she excelled on her high school and college teams. She graduated with a degree in golf management and proceeded to manage the Pro Shop and golf course at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. After many years in the business world, Melissa decided to go back to school and pursue a different career path. She chose physical therapy for many reasons, but one of the main reasons was because she liked the idea of helping others feel better and making a difference in peoples’ lives. Melissa worked at a nursing facility after graduating and was happy to be able to provide the care she felt the patients needed in such a setting. She is now managing the business and marketing side of a2z Physical Therapy, being able to combine her experience from the business world with her experience in healthcare.
Melissa loves cooking and baking both for and with her family and gets a strong sense of satisfaction when watching the facial expressions of people when they eat her food. She enjoys being able to spend time with her kids before she drops them off at school and after she picks them up, but she also appreciates the time she has in between to keep up her knowledge of running a business. In her spare time, Melissa likes to take her dog for walks and could spend hours getting lost in a book.
